Portoferraio What will never have the literary tastes of a great leader like Napoleon Bonaparte? The answer can be found in the exhibition, held in the Gallery Demidoff of Villa San Martino (open until September 30), devoted to Napoleon's philosophy of reading. L 'exhibition is divided into three segments: Uses and origins, which explains the criteria by which the' Emperor has ordered the library, Culture of Napoleon (on his intellectual formation) and a 'large collection of newspaper Moniteur Universel, between 1790 and 1813. The Library of 'Emperor, made with the' help of Pauline Borghese and Cardinal Fesch, has a pragmatic cut. There are collected works of history and military background, biographies of players in the past, legal codes and legal texts, but also books useful as the volumes on 'beekeeping. - M d FC
